CFPB Fails To Protect Consumers

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) wasn’t founded until 25 years after Ronald Reagan uttered his famous line, “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help.’” Yet, few agencies exemplify this fear quite like this powerful, yet relatively new regulatory bureaucracy, which stumbles over itself as it hurts the vulnerable populations it was set up to protect.
